Biography

PIR ILLAHI BUX

Honourable Pir Illahi Bux was born in 1895 at village Pir Goth District Dadu. He completed his LLB in 1928 & started his practice in 1929. He joined political party and became Education Minister in 1937. He started a newspaper in 1942 from karachi with the name of “AZAD”. He had established Sindh Muslim College Karachi in 1943. He also presented the bill in assembly to establish Sindh University in 1944. He was founder of Sindh Muslim Law College, Dow Medical College at karachi and Agriculture College in Sakrand in 1947. He became Chief Minister of Sindh Province from 1948 to 1949. He also started second newspaper with the name “MUJAHID” in 1948. He laid down the foundation stone of Sarwari Islamia College Hala in 1951. He became the member of Sindh Assembly and Party General Secretary in 1953. He became the member of Western Pakistan Assembly in 1956. After 1958 he left politics for good and all.

In Government Pir Illahi Bux College Dadu Llb 3 & 5 Year Programme is provides with the fundamental of understanding the law and the role of law in our nation. The college’s First phase is constructed on 6 Acres Land with the cost of 80 Million Rupees. The Second phase is under process. This is one of the best gift for law students and citizens of Dadu and its surrounding districts.

Whether you are prospective student, current student, professor, researcher, graduate, or visitor, your interest and enthusiasm are valued and appreciated our college was established in old building where 3 years llb programme (evening) was started & in the year of 2012 we shifted in new building of college & started llb (honors) 5 years morning program from batch 2017 & our remaining batch 2023. We have completed 25 years & celebrate silver jubilee.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

Governement Pir Illahi Bux Law College Dadu is the leading law college of Sindh. It was established on 1995 and started its function from 01-10-1995 with the support of Chief Minister of the then time Late Syed Abdullah Shah with full cooperation of the Honourable Senior Minister of Law, Govt. of Sindh Professor Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq ASC. The foundation stone of New College Building was laid down by Honourable Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh on 4th December 2008. This Law College was shifted in its new beautiful building near Shajhan Park, Dadu on 21-05-2012 by Honouable Federal Minister for Law & Justice Mr. Farooq H. Naik, with full cooperation of Honourable Senior Minister Education & Literacy Department Govt of Sindh Pir Mazha-ul-Haq. Since then Government Pir Illahi Bux Law College Dadu has been successfully providing legal education. This being one of the Big College of Sindh. Many students of this college have occupied positions in Government Services, Judges as well As in Daily life of Country. The college has added its credit, plenty number of students, who are efficiently working in several sectors of the national life as well as federal, provisional Judicial apex. As per new education policy the college working under the administrative control of Boards of Governors for Law Colleges affiliated with University of Sindeh Jamshoro constituted by the law department Government of Sindh. The college is very fortunate to secure the services of the well known, reputed and senior most members of Dadu Bar to teach the prescribed courses. The present members of the teaching staff are quite well equipped and experienced to teach their respective subjects. The college new building is located near Shahjahan Park, which is easily accessible to their resident of Dadu city and surroundings area. The College authority furnish good scope to the students to organize their student activities in a well disciplined manner. The college has played pre dominant role in the field of legal education since 1995.
